Old Gray Mare by Shaili Draper, granddaughter

Old Gray Mare
One time I'm not sure when,  where, or who was there, but we were all gathered around laughing, eating, and laughing some more. This is not unusual for a Bowman get together, but this time we happened to have helium balloons. We of course, could not resist inhaling the helium to provoke more and more laughter. This went on for some time until grandpa finally grabbed a balloon. We all grew silent as we waited to see what he was going to do. He suddenly inhaled a large amount of helium and burst out singing "Oh, the old gray mare, she ain't what she use to be, ain't what she use to be, ain't what she use to be...". We all roared with laughter, because it was not everyday you got to see grandpa do something so silly.
That is something I will never forget, and I cannot wait to have another one of his super tight hugs. I miss him so much!
